Delete your account

This page deletes your Inner Messages account (app package com.innerstudios.innermessages, by Inner Studios) together with the data stored for it. You do it yourself, right here — nobody has to approve it.

What gets deleted

Everything the app keeps about you is removed immediately:

  • Your login — your email address and password
  • Your profile: name, your Inner ID, and your profile picture
  • Every message you wrote and every message you received
  • Your contacts, your pending requests, and your Family / In love / Friends circles
  • Every photo you uploaded to the app, including achievement pictures
  • The notification token that lets the app reach your phone

What stays, and for how long

  • Messages you sent to another person are deleted from your account, but a copy stays in their inbox — the same way a letter you posted stays with the person who received it. Only they can delete it.
  • Backups of the database are kept for up to 30 days and then overwritten. Nobody reads them; they exist only to recover from a failure.
  • Anonymous, aggregated usage counts (how many people opened the app on a given day) are kept, but they are not linked to you and cannot be traced back to you.

Deletion is permanent. There is no undo and no way to bring an account back.

Delete it now

Sign in to prove the account is yours. The moment you confirm, it is gone.

This cannot be undone. Your messages and photos cannot be recovered afterwards.

Rather have me do it?

If you cannot sign in — you forgot the password, or you no longer have the email address — ask me and I will delete the account by hand.

Write to the support address from the email address on the account, with "Delete my account" in the subject. Requests are handled within 30 days, usually the same week. I will reply when it is done.
